Quality Assurance - Hiring Entry Level OPT Candidates

 Responsibilities:
  • Copyedit online course materials for quality, consistency, conformity to standards, and effective use of language
  • Proofread professor-submitted materials and storyboards
  • Check back-end course settings for consistency and adherence to standards
  • Test functionality of courses through checking multimedia pieces, course links, 3rd party tool integration, etc.
  • Follow and improve Everspring's Style Guide and Editorial Standards for each university partner
  • Follow and improve quality assurance templates and checklists for each university program
  • Assist in the improvement and implementation of accessibility standards and guidelines
  • Assist in problem-solving for live course issues
  • Run accuracy checks on transcribed materials
  • Train new Learning Design team members on quality assurance processes
  • Perform other duties, as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, writing, English, instructional design, educational technology, curriculum design, or related field absolutely required; Master's strongly preferred
  • 2-3 years of comparable experience in editing and/or quality assurance, including copywriting, proofreading, and functional testing
  • Experience in higher education preferred
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Superior ability with MS Office and computers (both Mac and PC)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, across levels and functions of complex organizations
  • Experience using academic standards rubrics, such as Quality Matters (Quality Matters certification is a plus)
  •  Experience using project tracking/project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Basecamp
